This report presents the results of an overview hydrologic assessment of the Siwash Creek watershed, located approximately 30 km north-east of Princeton within the Merritt Forest District. The watershed includes Siwash Creek above Galena Creek sub-basin (#71), Simem Creek sub-basin (#72) and a residual area (#69). The Galena Creek subbasin (#70) is also located within the Siwash Creek watershed, but is outside the scope of the current project and was not field assessed. Galena Creek is included in ECA calculations, however, for the entire Siwash Creek watershed. The 1997 IWAP results showed only one medium hazard for the Simem Creek sub-basin; hazards were low in all other sub-basins. The residual area scored a high hazard for surface erosion and riparian buffer. Refer to Volume I of this project for details regarding methods, treatment of residual areas, organization of sub-basins, and approach difference between this assessment and the 1997 IWAP. watershed assessment, ECA, peak flow, erosion, riparian |
