This updated Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure report for the Trout Creek community watershed has been prepared for Gorman Bros. Lumber Ltd., Westbank, B .C ., in order to meet Bill 47 regulation requirements within the Penticton Forest District. The main objective of this report is to provide information regarding both the current watershed condition and the risks associated with proposed forest development plans for the period of 1998 to 2003. In order to update the watershed assessment the following tasks were required by BC Environment and the Penticton Forest District: 1) update Equivalent Clearcut Area (ECA) calculations to include the current forest development plans for the period of 1998 to 2003; 2) update the watershed report card; 3) provide landscape level recommendations regarding the hydrologic impact of proposed forest development plans for the period of 1998 to 2003; 4) carry out initial and final Watershed Assessment Committee meetings to discuss and make recommendations based on this report. watershed assessment, erosion, sediment, ECA, forest harvest, peak flow |
