At the request of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), the Interior Watershed Assessment Procedures (IWAP's) for the Scotch Creek watershed originally completed in 1995 and 1997 were updated to incorporate terrain mapping information and interim results of ongoing watershed restoration work. The purpose of the assessment was to determine the following: 1) Current watershed conditions; 2) The effect of completed road deactivation and hillslope restoration efforts on the watershed and hydrograph; 3) The direction for future watershed restoration efforts; 4) The potential impacts from proposed forest development; 5) Specific areas of the watershed (i.e. sub-basins, residual areas) that may be suitable for future forest development over the long-term. The assessment follows the latest Watershed Assessment procedure dated April 1999. watershed assessment, ECA, watershed management |
