In 1997, liocan Group - Vavenby Division (Slocan) initiated terrain mapping for the Raft River watershed under the auspices of Forest Renewal British Columbia (FRBC). Preliminary terrain typing was completed by West North and Associates Environmental Ltd. and a Stage I review was conducted by the FRBC Terrain Mapping Reviewer.BAPID 4674 . The scope of work for the West Raft and Raft Residual watersheds as outlined in Schedule A of the Standards Agreement includes: - Reconnaissance level terrain stability mapping at Terrain Survey Intensity Level (TSIL) D at a scale of 1:20,000 and with fi eld checking of a minimum of 10% of Potentially Unstable (P) and Unstable (U) polygons; - collection of sufficient data from disturbed areas in or near the map area to develop simple criteria for reconnaissance terrain stability interpretations; - preparation of a reconnaissance terrain stability map describing terrain stability class, terrain type, geomorphic processes and slope class ranges; terrain stability, landslide, erosion |
