Terrain stability conditions within the MonasheelYeoward Creek area, were mapped for Riverside Forest Products Limited, Lumby Division during the year 2000 at a terrain survey intensity level (TSIL) 'C" and a scale of 1 :20,000. The information gathered are presented on the terrain and terrain stability maps, covering TRIM map sheets 82L 018, 19. 028 and 029, which accompany this report. The maps and report, together, provide background information for planning and development purposes and are intended to guide future for st development in the area by characterizing the surficial geology and the geomorphic processes that continue to shape the landscape. Specifically, this information is intended to indicate areas in which more detailed Terrain Stability Field Assessments (TSFA) are warranted prior to road construction and/or logging activity within the MonasheelYeoward Creek area. The overall objective of this project was to collect, collate an present data on: the surficial geology, geomorphology, slope class, drainage characteristics, terrain stability, soil erosion potential (SEP), risk of sediment delivery into streams (RSO ) and potential for landslide debris entering streams (PLOES), within the Monashee/Yeoward Creek area. terrain stability, landslide, erosion, sediment |
