Abstract/Description or Keywords | The Okanogan Subbasin Plan is designed to provide the Northwest Power and Conservation Council with a method for allocating fish and wildlife mitigation and conservation resources within the Okanogan subbasin. To involve the community and public, an outreach program was developed and put into practice during the building of the plan and will continue as the plan moves towards implementation. aquatic habitat, hydrology, fish The plan begins with an expression of the vision for the subbasin and an outline of the founding principles for the plan. It then moves into an overview of the Basin, and its fish and wildlife species and their habitats. Current projects and management programs are discussed and a detailed management plan is then defined. A framework for monitoring the progress of the plan is presented, and, finally, linkages across the plan elements are established and described. A brief overview follows. |
