Edgewood water system is an underground aquifer. Water from wells is distributed to the community treatment. Sampling is done every two weeks for bacteriological parameters. The RDCK did not receive any adverse sample results during 2015. The Edgewood water system includes on-line flow and turbidity monitoring. Turbidity on the Edgewood system rises above guidelines during the spring months and Seasonal Boil Water Notices are issued each year during the spring due to elevated turbidity. Since the RDCK has operated the system, no samples have indicated the presence of coliform bacteria or Escherichia coli bacteria. |
