Abstract/Description or Keywords The Fish Passage program is focused on remediating stream crossings that impede freshwater fish migration. The most common barrier to fish is improperly designed and installed closed bottom structures such as culverts which were installed prior to the Forest Practices Code in 1995. Remediation of these structures often involves replacing these barriers with properly designed embedded structures or with open bottom structures such as bridges. The four phase delivery of the fish passage program involves fish passage assessments, habitat confirmation, design, and construction to remediate the stream crossing.
