The Louis Creek Watershed is located approximately 40 kilometres northeast of Kamloops, British Columbia. Louis Creek drains into the North Thompson River, adjacent to the community of Louis Creek. This drainage was prioritized for an Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure, and consequently Tolko Industries Ltd. commissioned Integrated Woods Services Ltd. (IWS) to perform this assessment. Forest Renewal British Columbia (FRBC) provided the funding for this project. The objectives of this assessment are to: 1) Identify existent hydrologic and fluvial geomorphic conditions; 2) To provide insight into the implications for future development in regards to drainage network condition; 3) To establish preliminary guidance for future watershed restoration projects within the Louis Creek Watershed.
