Issues of concern within the Canimred sub-basin include the current Equivalent Clearcut Area (ECA), surface erosion from the existing road network, spruce bark beetle outbreaks, sport fishery values and downstream water users (R. Harris, pers. comm. 1999). Within a portion of the Canimred Creek watershed (referred to hereafter at the Canimred sub-basin), a Level 2 Watershed Assessment was completed by Integrated Woods Services Ltd. (IWS). The Canimred sub-basin was identified as a priority site for a Level 2 Assessment by a multi-agency and industry working group.
