Abstract/Description or Keywords Integrated Woods Services ltd. was contracted by Weyerhaeuser Company Limited (Kamloops Division) to complete a Reconnaissance Channel Assessment procedure (ReCAP) of the Lower Criss Creek sub-basin. Concerns about turbidity in this stream, particularly during the spring freshet, were cited as the primary consideration for assessing the current stream channel conditions. Additionally, it was recommended in the 'Deadman River Watershed, Integrated Watershed Restoration Plan' (IWRP) that the Lower Criss Creek sub-basin be assessed prior to hazard and a high riparian buffer hazard in the IWRP. Weyerhaeuser Company Limited (Kamloops Division) provided funding for this project. The following report is a summary of the office review, field assessment and overview flight. The Objectives of the ReCAP were to: (1) field assess the current stream channel conditions (2) assess the sensitivity of the stream channels to impacts from land-use activities (3) Identify sediment sources within the sub-basin (4) provide recommendations regarding future forestry development within the sub-basin. channel, erosion, sediment, geomorphology
