Integrated Woods Services Ltd. was contracted to complete comprehensive watershed assessments for the Avery, Foghorn, and Two Mile Creek watersheds. Slocan Group and Forest Renewal British Columbia provided the funding for this project. The objectives of the detailed assessments were to: 1) Expand on the previous Level 1 Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure reports; 2) Field assess the current channel conditions within the watersheds; 3) Assess the sensitivity of the stream channels to impacts from forestry activities; 4) Identify opportunities for upslope and in-stream watershed restoration activities; 5) Provide recommendations regarding future forestry development within these watersheds. watershed assessment, watershed management, forest harvesting |
