Abstract/Description or Keywords The objective of this assessment was to identify existing morphologic channel conditions in macro-reaches 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Barriere River within the residual sub-basin, and to evaluate the implications of proposed forestry development in these macro-reaches. The Barriere River Watershed was identified as a priority site for a Reconnaissance Channel Assessment Procedure (ReCAP) by a working group composed of representatives from government agencies and industry. Integrated Woods Services Ltd. (IWS) was commissioned to complete a ReCAP on the Barriere River within the Residual Sub-basin of the Barriere River Watershed. Forest Renewal British Columbia provided funding for the Barriere River Channel Assessment. The objective of this assessment was to identify existing morphologic channel conditions in macro-reaches 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Barriere River within the residual sub-basin, and to evaluate the implications of proposed forestry development in these macro-reaches. It was also intended that the physical information that was gathered would be used as an information source for potential watershed restoration projects in the drainage. Please be advised that Appendix G: Channel Assessment Map is not available in EcoCat.
