Abstract/Description or Keywords The purpose of this document is to compile known information about flood processes on Naramata, Robinson and Chute Creeks, assessing it to develop conceptual flood damage reduction measures and make recommendations towards future hazard management in the floodplain. The study recommends land use, building and development controls but recognizes that this alone would be an incomplete solution to potential future problems at these sites. It is concluded that there is a need for management and stewardship of the stream corridor and channel maintenance with dual objectives, to reduce vulnerability of creek banks and buildings and to preserve and enhance natural values. A gravel management program is recommended to maintain channel stability and reduce the risk of flooding damage. The greenway concept is supported for Naramata Creek to combine conservation and recreation in a protected linear-connected environment. Watershed management must be sustained to control water quantity and quality. The problems on Robinson and Chute Creek fans can be managed by maintenance of existing works and building regulation. flood, floodplain, fan, debris flow
