This report presents the results of an Interior Watershed Assessment (IWAP) of the Kwinshatin Creek and Skuagam Creek watersheds located approximately 10 km south-west of Merritt within the Merritt Forest District. This report presents the results of an Interior Watershed Assessment (IWAP) of the Kwinshatin Creek and Skuagam Creek watersheds located approximately 10 km south-west of Merritt within the Merritt Forest District. The study was initiated by Tolko Industries Ltd. (Merritt) to assess the hydrologic impacts of their forest development plan. Henderson Environmental Consulting Ltd. was retained by Tolko Industries Ltd. to carry out the assessment. The primary purpose of this report is to assess the cumulative hydrologic impact of historical and proposed forest harvesting. Kwinshatin and Skuagam Creeks represent separate community watersheds but because they are adjacent on the same slope, for the purposed of this study are discussed in a single report. |
