Abstract/Description or Keywords The Granite above Arrastra Creek sub-basin, located southwest of Princeton, drains an area of 101.0 km squared. The watershed includes Frenchy Creek, a tributary drainage equal to about half of the sub-basin area. Elevations range from 1080 m at the confluence with Arrastra Creek at 1910 m at Granite and Kettle Mountains along the southwest boundary of the watershed. This report presents the results of an overview hydrologic assessment of the Granite Creek above Arrastra Creek watershed, located west of Princeton. Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd. (Merritt Division) initiated the study, partly in response to the results of the 1997 Merritt Forest District IWAP, and partly to address concerns from the Ministry of Forests. Concerns included peak flows, surface erosion, riparian buffers, and the impact of the five-year forest development plan. Fieldwork was carried out in September and October 1998. watershed assessment, riparian, erosion, sediment, peak flow
