As requested, Golder Associates Ltd. (Golder) has carried out a geotechnical assessment of terrain sensitivity including slope stability and erosion potential factors to facilitate the completion of a Level 1 Interior Watershed Assessment by Forsite Consultants Ltd. The Onyx Creek project area covers about 6,000 ha and is classified as a fourth order watershed (Figure 1). The work was carried out in general accordance with our proposal dated November 10, 1995, to Mr. Glenn Thiem of Forsite Consultants Ltd. Authorization to carry out the assessment was provided by Mr. Theim during a telephone conversation with Mr. Mark Watson, P. Eng. of Golder on November 16, 1995. The work carried out by Golder was conducted, as requested, at Level E Terrain Survey Intensity and provides much of the office preparation needed to carry out higher level reviews, as needed. It should be noted that, in accordance with the level E guidelines, this work was carried out by Golder without benefit of field review or polygon checking. Use of this report is subject to the Statement of general Conditions which is appended after the text of this report.
