Abstract/Description or Keywords This report presents the results of an assessment of Foam Creek by EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. using the Channel Conditions and Prescriptions Assessment (CCPA) Procedure. Foam Creek is located approximately 20 km north of Avola, BC on the Yellowhead Highway (Hwy 5) and drains directly to the North Thompson River. Based on the methods described for the CCPA channel morphologies found in Foam Creek were generally CPb, CPc and SPb with most reaches containing functioning woody debris. Approximately 9 percent of the channel length examined in this study was determined to exhibit altered morphology corresponding to a mainstem channel impact value of 0.6 (medium). Channel disturbances observed along the mainstem portion of the creek typically consisted of recently formed LWD jams, sediment wedges and minor erosion. Some of the disturbances observed during the assessment were judged to be naturally occurring.
