The objective of this project was to complete detailed and reconnaissance terrain stability maps for two areas in the Vernon Forest District: an 1 ,400 ha area west of Sugar Lake and a 13,600 ha area north of Gates Creek. The maps will be used by weyerhaeuser,anada Ltd. to prepare an updated Development Plan, as required by the British Columbia Ministry of Forests for the planning of forestry activities.
