At the request of Tolko Industries Limited - Lavington Division, an Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure (IWAP) was completed for the Equesis Creek watershed. The purpose of the assessment was to determine current watershed conditions, the effect of past land-use practice on the watershed, and potential impacts from proposed forest development. The assessment follows the Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure Guidebook (IWAP) - April 1999. For purposes of this assessment the Equesis Creek watershed has been divided into two sub-basins (Pinaus sub-basin and Ewer Creek sub-basin) and one residual. There are two points of interest (POI). The first POI is located at the mouth of Equesis creek at Okanagan Lake and the second POI is located at the confluence of Ewer Creek with Equesis Creek. |
