Abstract/Description or Keywords This report summarizes the work completed in 2001 for the TFL 49 long-term water quality monitoring project. The water quality monitoring project forms part of the effectiveness evaluation of forest development for Riverside Forest Products Ltd. Forest Stewardship Project. The project is focused on Tree Farm License (TFL) 49 in the Okanagan and Shuswap basins, as several of the watersheds within the TFL supply drinking water to various communities. Fish species and other aquatic organisms also rely on these watersheds for a source of habitat and food. Monitoring sites were selected on four streams in the TFL (Powers Creek, Lambly Creek, Whiteman Creek and Bolean Creek). The goal of this project is to help insure water resources within the TFL are maintained and protected in an efficient and cost effective manner. water quality, aquatic ecology
