The following report has been prepared for Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd. A watershed assessment for Otter Creek has been completed to determine the potential for any cumulative hydrologic impacts resulting from past forest development. The watershed assessment was carried out in accordance with the Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure Guidebook (IWAP), dated September 1995. Information regarding data sources and calculations used in the IWAP office assessment procedure as found in Appendix A. The Otter Creek watershed is located approximately 15 km east of Vavenby, BC. The watershed point of interest (POI) at the confluence of Otter Creek with the North Thompson River, the two sub-basins, and the residual area in the watershed were determined based on discussions at the initial roundtable committee meeting held on April 4, 1997.
