This report for Riverside Forest Products Limited has been written to comply with the requirements of the Forest Practices Code Operational Regulation that watershed assessments must be completed for community watersheds prior to submitting a forest development plan. Mill Creek is now the official name for Kelowna Creek. However, to maintain continuity with previous reports, the name Kelowna Creek has been retained in this report. To complete the watershed assessment the following tasks were identified: 1) Update Equivalent Clearcut Area (ECA) calculations; 2) Update the watershed report card; 3) Provide a risk assessment of the potential hydrologic impacts associated with the proposed forest development for the period of 1998 to 2003; 4) Initial and final Watershed Assessment Committee (WAC) meetings to discuss and make recommendations for the proposed forest development plans. Please be advised that the map associated with Appendix C is not available on EcoCat. watershed assessment, water supply, forest harvest, forest disturbance, watershed management |
