| Abstract/Description or Keywords | The general objective of this study was to develop a distributed hydrologic model of the Okanagan Basin and calibrate it to naturalized conditions, to develop a water accounting model for the Okanagan Basin and calibrate it to existing conditions, and to apply the water accounting model of the Okanagan Basin to analyze future hydrologic conditions under a range of climate-change and land-use scenarios. Specific objectives were to: ﾕ Develop a distributed hydrologic model of the Okanagan Basin to simulate naturalized conditions; ﾕ Calibrate and compare the model results with the results of the related naturalized flow study (Summit and Polar, 2009); ﾕ Estimate naturalized weekly streamflows or lake levels for the period 1996-2006 at 81 surface water nodes (Figure 1-2); ﾕ Incorporate water use data to develop the Okanagan Basin Water Accounting Model; ﾕ Calibrate the Okanagan Basin Water Accounting Model to available measured data; ﾕ Estimate historical weekly streamflows and lake levels for the period 1996-2006 at 81 surface water nodes (Figure 1-2); ﾕ Analyze future streamflows and lake levels under a range of climate-change and land-use scenarios; ﾕ Upload results to the OKWater Database. water supply, allocation, water balance, water yield |
