The following report has been prepared for Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd., Vavenby Division. A watershed assessment for Finn Creek has been completed to determine the potential for any cumulative hydrological impacts resulting from past forest development, as well as from future forest development as proposed in the current five-year development plan. The watershed assessment was carried out in accordance with the Interior Watershed Assessment procedure Guidebook (IWAP), dated September 1995. Information regarding data sources and calculations used in the IWAP office assessment processes are found in Appendix A. The Finn Creek watershed is located approximately 20 km northeast of Vavenby, BC. The point of interest (POI), sub-basins (Marion Creek, Camp Creek and Upper Finn/Salmon) and the one residual area in the watershed were delineated based in discussions resulting from a roundtable committee meeting held on April 4, 1997. The final roundtable meeting was convened on June 16, 1997. Minutes from the roundtable meetings are found in Appendix B. The POI at the confluence of Finn Creek with the North Thompson River.
