Abstract/Description or Keywords AMEC Earth & Environmental limited (AMEC) was retained by Ms. Jennifer Turner, R.P.F., ofTolko Industries Ltd. (Tolko), to conduct a detailed terrain stability mapping assessment in the Eakin Creek and Lemieux Creek areas. The orig inal scope of work was detailed in AMEC's proposal dated 18 January 2000. BAPID 4944. The terrain stability mapping (TSM) was conducted at Terrain Survey Intensity Level (TSIL) C as defined in Mapping and Assessing Terrain Stability Guidebook (BC Ministry of Forests, April 1995). Mapping conducted at TSIL C incorporates detailed terrain stability information and interpretations. The information generated is used by forest planners to identify areas that require on-site assessments of terrain stability prior to the approval of road construction, cutblock boundaries, timber harvesting methods and silvicultural systems. Terrain stability maps are commonly used in conjunction with other resource information to guide forest development in an area.
