Abstract/Description or Keywords The Trout Creek Watershed is located near Summerland BC and drains into Okanagan Lake. The watershed is approximately 760 square kilometers in size with an estimated 225 km of fish bearing reaches in the watershed that have less than 12% stream gradient. The Thompson-Okanagan Watershed Committee (TOWC) rated Trout Creek as a Key Watershed with high fish value and has been designated as a Sensitive Stream by the Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection. Historically, Trout Creek provided the third largest spawning habitat available for Okanagan Lake fish (Koshinski, 1972). Trout Creek is also a community watershed for the District of Summerland. The strategic objective of this report is to formulate a community directed plan for the restoration of Trout Creek to natural conditions to benefit fisheries, water quality and community resources. restoration, water quality, water supply, fish habitat, aquatic habitat, salmonids
