Abstract/Description or Keywords Ultimately, the objective if the fish habitat assessment procedure (FHAP) was to assess, restore, protect and maintain aquatic and fish habitats that have been impacted by past forestry practices. Once all pertinent information has been collected and analyzed, a proper course of action can be recommended and executed. In order to meet these goals, all background information must first be compiled to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the watershed. This plan of action included reach delineation, field assessments, diverse fish sampling and stream analysis. As both Penticton and Ellis Creeks are community watersheds, background research yielded plentiful information on fish presence in the mainstems if each watershed and their corresponding sub-basins. The adjacent tributaries were left unexamined. fish habitat, aquatic habitat, salmonids, restoration, channel
