The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) retained Summit Environmental Consultants Inc. (Summit) in March 2009 to assess the potential impacts of private sewage disposal systems (PSDS) on groundwater quality within the community of Falkland, B.C. The groundwater monitoring program of the Falkland Study area is part of a larger study involving nine other communities in the CSRD: Anglemont, Nicholson, Sorrento / Blind Bay, Sunnybrae, White Lake, Seymour Arm, Celista / Magna Bay, Swansea Point and Malakwa. The groundwater monitoring contract was for five years, from 2009 to 2013. The current report details the findings from monitoring events conducted in 2012. |
