Abstract/Description or Keywords The Spapilem operating area is part of Forest License A18693, managed by International Forest Products Limited (Interfor). Adams Lake Lumber Division, of Chase, BC. Silvatech Consulting Ltd. (Silvatech) has been retained by Interfor to conduct Channel Assessment procedures (CAP) on streams in the operating area and report on the findings. In general, the overall objective if the CAP was to identify and describe stream channel characteristics in the study areas which may have changed as a result of forest resource development. More specifically, the objective of this project were: 1) To complete general, detailed and field assessments of all mainstem channels within the Spapilem study area, according to the most recently available CAP standards: 2) To summarize and present the results of these assessments; 3) To identify significant problem sites and comment in the level of disturbance, the likely causes of the impairment, the relative priority of the concern and the potential for restoration; 4) To make general or specific recommendations regarding the direction of future actions within the Spapilem operating area. channel, watershed assessment, habitat, erosion, sediment, road
