Silvatech Consulting Ltd. has been retained by Bell Pole Co. Ltd., to conduct an overview conditions assessment in the Momich River/ Cayenne Creek watershed as part of the Watershed Restoration Program of Forest Renewal B.C. The overview assessment was to include interpretations according to the Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure (IWAP), Level 1 Analysis, as outlined in the Forest practices Code of British Columbia Guidebook. These interpretations were used to identify the general nature of cumulative impacts of past forest harvesting activities within the Momich/ Cayenne watershed. This report summarizes the results of the overview assessments and provides recommendations regarding the need for further assessments and/or restoration projects in the Momich/ Cayenne watershed. The results of the overview assessments will provide input to the major elements of the Integrated Watershed Restoration Plan should one be required.
