Abstract/Description or Keywords This report documents the general characteristics, hydrologic conditions and environmental impacts existing, and anticipated, in the Berry Creek watershed as related to forest harvesting. Recommendations regarding the need for further assessments, opportunities for in-channel or watershed restoration projects, and/or modifications to harvest planning are summarized in Section 7.0 for review by the Watershed Assessment Committee (WAC). The main objectives of this project are: 1) To characterise the present state of natural resources and geomorphic processes within the Berry Creek watershed and to identify existing forest resource use interactions and linkages; 2) To complete an Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure (IWAP) to assess the cumulative affects of forest development in the watershed. The assessment looked for evidence of changes in stream-flow regimes, altered channel morphology, accelerated bank erosion, increased landslide occurrences, accelerated surface erosion and disturbed areas within the watershed; and, 3) to review the possible hydrological implications of proposed forest development restoration activities within the watershed and provide recommendations toward future development and restoration planning. watershed assessment, landslide, erosion, sediment, peak flow, roads
