This report completed By Summit Environmental Consultants presents the results of a Channel Assessment Procedure. The general objective of the Channel Assessment Procedure (CAP) is to identify disturbed channels, if they exist, in a consistent and repeatable process (MOF/MELP, 1996a). Specific objectives include: 1) Review existing information on each watershed; 2) Review recent and historical aerial photographs and inventory potentially impacted channel sections; 3) In consultation with the project Roundtable, develop a field program to assess and evaluate channel condition; 4) Assess the stream channels for indication of impacts from past forest harvest activities; 5) Evaluate channel sensitivity to future impacts; 6) Develop restoration strategies where appropriate. watershed assessment, channel, erosion, riparian, forest harvest, watershed management |
