Abstract/Description or Keywords This report describes the fluctuation in Osoyoos lake levels. During periods of low lake levels, outflow of Osoyoos Lake is controlled by a dam structure downstream, as well as alluvial fan deposits from Tonasket Creek. For high lake levels, outflow is a function of Similkameen and Okanogan Rivers, as reverse flow can occur during high water events within the Similkameen. Appendix A of this document describes how regulation of the Okanagan river at Penticton can reduce potential flooding of Osoyoos lake, but suggests that by regulating peak flows on the Similkameen River, peak lake levels would be reduced. peak flow, flood
