Abstract/Description or Keywords The objective of this project was to carry out Detailed Terrain Stability Mapping (5-class) at TSlL B for 3040 ha in the Downton Creek area. The maps will be used by Ainsworth Lumber Co. Lid., Lillooet Division for the planning of forest management activities in cutting permit (CP) 138.---- Terrain mapping and interpretations for slope stability were carried out according to provincial standards. Terrain mapping was done on 1 :I 5 000 scale colour air photos by air photo interpretation, followed by field checking. Digitizing was arranged by Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. and done by Foresite Consultants Ltd.---- This report augments the information that is shown on the map. It provides a description of terrain mapping methodology, criteria applied to slope stability interpretation, and map reliability. and a general overview of the physiography of the study area. Additional information about surficial materials and processes is included in Sections 4 and 5, and recommendations for forest land management that arise out of this terrain work are discussed in Section 6. terrain stability, landslide, erosion, sediment
