Abstract/Description or Keywords The Province of British Columbia, represented by the Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB) and the Taku River Tlingit First Nation (TRTFN), is preparing to undertake joint land use and fish and wildlife management planning in the Atlin Taku region of northwest British Columbia. These planning processes will result in increased certainty on the landscape through delineation of land use zones and criteria governing the management of fish and wildlife. This report was commissioned by and completed for the province to improve understanding of the mineral resources associated with the Atlin Taku planning area. This background report summarizes and synthesizes the existing state of knowledge of mineral resources in the planning area including their global and historical significance, administration, regulation and tenure.
