| Abstract/Description or Keywords | The purpose of Technical Memorandum 4 is to qualitatively assess the risks posed to the water source. This task involved the creation of a Risk Characterization Table to evaluate the robustness of the source protection element of the multiple barrier system. The table summarizes the assessment of the existence, effectiveness, and reliability of existing preventive and protective measures, and identifies gaps in the barriers. To provide a bird’s eye view of the health of the water system, a review of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to the watershed was also completed. Technical Memorandum 4 is Task 5 of the six work tasks required to complete the Comox Lake Watershed Assessment. |
