Abstract/Description or Keywords Time-domain electromagnetic surveys were conducted over several geological settings in the lower Fraser Valley and Fraser Delta during the summer of 1994. The purpose was to investigate whether EM methods can distinguish aquifers in glacial drift such as the Clearbrook and Abbottsford aquifers (Sumas drift) , from aquitards and seals such as those associated with marine and glacio-marine clays (Capilano and Fort Langley sediments). A secondary objective was to investigate whether EM methods could determine water quality within the aquifers (salinity).
