The objective of the Post-Event Environmental Impact Assessment (PEEIAR) was to provide an assessment of the physical, chemical and biological impacts immediately following the tailings dam failure and in the first six to eight months following the event. The assessment of long term impacts will be conducted in the next phase of work to be initiated during the summer of 2015. The Key Finding of the Post-Event Environmental Impact Assessment are presented below. The Supporting Technical Appendices are attached for readers to review the details of the technical studies.
