Abstract/Description or Keywords Researchers, planners, teachers and students will find the 1998 Fraser River Bibliography an extensive and flexible database on the physical environment, aquatic and terrestrial biota, the quality of their environments, and the effects that human activities have on them. The work encompasses published and unpublished reports as well as work in progress. The latter is listed under the principal investigator’s name or organization, or as anon. with a contact person of Environment Canada in parenthesis. Where possible entries shown as "in progress" in the preceding bibliography are updated and cross-referenced with their previous reference number and author(s). Although most reports are dated 1994 to 1998, some earlier, relevant references are included. Sources of references are: (1) on-line computer searchers of bibliographic databases and institutional libraries, (2) consultations with researchers at universities, government agencies and industry and (3) reference sections of available publications dealing with the Fraser River watershed. The bibliography is also available in limited copies on CD-ROM and as a hard copy from Gail Moyle, Environment Canada, ([email protected]). Keywords are grouped and entered in the sequence of the following six main subject categories: geographic location, physical environment, contamination, water quality, natural resources, and biota. For the geographic location the Fraser River watershed is divided into four reaches.
