Lac La Hache is a 19.1km2 lake located in Area G of the Cariboo Regional District. The lake is a focal point for residents as well as an important attraction to visitors because of its recreational, ecological, and aesthetic values. It has been classified since 1984 as having high sensitivity; therefore, land use activity in the watershed could influence its water quality, aquatic and riparian biological communities. This review and summary of existing water quality and biophysical information was completed to assess the status of Lac La Hache and support the 2016 update of the OCP for the Lac La Hache plan area. |
